February 2022 – Bridge Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Satoshi Steimetz as Chief Financial Officer at Playworks headquartered in Oakland, California.

Playworks is the leading national nonprofit leveraging the power of play to transform children’s social and emotional health. Playworks currently serves 1,000 schools across the U.S. and reaches 500,000 students directly and through professional training services.

Through coaching kids at recess and training school staff, Playworks partners with elementary schools, districts, and after-school programs to provide a service or mix of services including on-site coaches, professional training for school staff who support recess, and consultative partnerships. The Playworks team works to integrate games into recess to create a welcoming place for every child on the playground. With an emphasis on social-emotional learning and skill-building, students feel included while being active and developing valuable skills needed to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Playworks is ensuring that kids experience safe and healthy play every day.

Satoshi Steimetz joins Playworks from Coaching Corps in Oakland, California, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he served as Senior Director – Finance and Operations at Build It Green. Prior, he served as Vice President – Accounting and Administration at Lieberman Productions. Early in his career, he served in finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility within organizations including Litrex Corporation, Lucas Digital Ltd., Alysis Technologies, Bets Spring Company and SBC Communications Inc. He began his career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG. Satoshi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from University of California Berkeley. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Satoshi is a skilled strategic and operational finance executive with a proven track record of managing change and improving processes, especially in challenging environments of growth and transformation. As the Chief Financial Officer at Playworks, he will be an advisor to the senior leadership team, assisting them with financial planning, economic modeling, and ongoing fiscal management. He will play a critical role in aligning Playworks’ impact strategy and financial sustainability.
