April 2025 - Bridge Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa North as Chief Operating Officer at the Foundation for a Just Society (FJS).

FJS envisions a world where all people are equally valued and can lead self-determined lives. The organization advances the rights of women, girls, and LGBTQI individuals while promoting gender and racial justice through grants to local, national, regional, and global organizations, particularly in Francophone West Africa, Mesoamerica, South and Southeast Asia, and the US Southeast.

In her new role as Chief Operating Officer, Lisa will report directly to the CEO and lead the Finance and Operations team, working in collaboration with the CEO and Board Finance & Audit Committee to provide strategic leadership across finance, facilities, IT, and grants management.

Previously, Lisa was with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund as Chief Operating Officer. With over thirty-five years of experience in social justice and human rights organizations, her deep understanding of nonprofit management dynamics and her adaptability will be invaluable as FJS advances its mission.

Lisa holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Mills College. She grew up in Vermont and Germany, has worked and traveled extensively in Africa and Asia, and currently calls New York City her home.
