Leadership shapes culture, impact, and possibility. And I’m deeply motivated by the opportunity to help mission-driven organizations find leaders who can truly transform what’s possible.

Martens is a trusted executive search leader with deep experience in philanthropy, the nonprofit sector, and mission-driven organizations. He partners with clients to recruit executives who advance social impact and organizational strength, and is known for a collaborative, transparent approach to advising boards, CEOs, and senior teams through moments of transition and strategic evolution.

He has led national searches across philanthropy and the broader social sector, recruiting CEOs, Executive Directors, and senior leaders in program strategy, operations, finance, HR, grants management, evaluation and learning, and external affairs. His clients include family and private foundations, philanthropic intermediaries, grassroots organizations, policy institutions, and environmental and social-justice organizations. Before joining Bridge Partners, Martens was a Managing Director at GoodCitizen. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade advancing education-improvement initiatives through federal policy, national advocacy, and nonprofit talent development.
